Entain has made another appointment as the company continues to reshuffle its internal organization and optimize structures. The company has now appointed Dominic Grounsell as its chief commercial officer. Grounsell has been working with Entain for the past three years and he has helped establish and advance different brands’ operational footprints both through retail and digital channels.
Grounsell to Leverage His Expertise and Help Company Grow Commercially
Today, he takes on an even more ambitious task as he will seek to ensure that Entain continues to deliver commercial results and success while addressing market-specific challenges. Grounsell joined the company back in April 2019 and he served as chief marketing officer for its flagship Ladbrokes and Coral betting website.
He then quickly stepped as managing director for the UK and Ireland sports betting operations. He then transitioned to managing director of digital in the UK and Ireland at the end of 2021 but quickly moved to managing director of global digital in January 2022.
Grounsell is a valuable hire who will help steer the company through its next growth spur. This comes at a time when the company has seen strong results across its operational channels with more market moves, expansions, and other business plans underway. Entain is on track to hit $1.3 billion in revenue for 2022.
More Changes as Entain Calibrates Its Internal Structures
Entain has been lobbying to help with expansion efforts in California, as the November ballot should see a sports betting proposal that could turn the state into the latest to adopt sports betting and gaming solutions. In terms of the company’s executive lineup, in June, Entain appointed Melanie Tansey as the new chief people officer.
Entain remains focused on delivering its global growth objectives while ensuring that it promotes from within to empower long-term employees who have the necessary skillset to help the company on its ultimate mission, which is captured in the company’s motto, “for the good of entertainment.
